Job Summary and Qualifications

• The Assistant Controller is responsible for assisting the Controller in managing the day to day operations of the Accounting Department.
• This position has the responsibility to ensure that all Accounting Policy Guides are followed in accordance to GAAP.
• Perform Patient Net Revenue analysis with the preparation of Standard Monthly Accrual or Medicare Exhibits as well as to assist in the timely and accurate completion of month – end close process.
• The Assistant Controller will also review Accounting Staff Journal Entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations for accuracy and to ensure that any discrepancies are researched and document in a timely manner, while also assisting with expense reviews for reasonableness in preparation for Monthly Operating Review post-close with Division.
• Other duties include coordinating with staff the validation of SOX and Non-SOX key controls, assisting with Internal and External Audit request, and assisting with Budget preparation and other projects assigned by Controller, CFO Division or Corporate Group.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors Degree required; Post Graduate Degree preferred
• CPA license preferred
• Healthcare experience preferred
