Childhelp is seeking a trauma-competent, quality-driven Therapist to join our clinical team to support our residential programs. This position is responsible for providing children with mental health and trauma-focused therapeutic services.

Your Day to Day:

  • Responsible for providing comprehensive mental health services to youth who have had adverse childhood experiences
  • Gather necessary biopsychosocial information that contributes to the development of the diagnosis and client centered goals.
  • Provide individual, group and family therapy
  • Collaborate, communicate and coordinate with Residential staff and Clinical team to meet the therapeutic needs of each client.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all necessary community agencies and service providers, maintains consistent communication and timely responsiveness
  • Complete all necessary documentation, including but not limited to the Needs and Service Plans and daily Progress Notes, in a timely, accurate, thorough and professional manner.
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and therapeutic environment for all youth in Costa Mesa STRTPs
  • Attend multi-disciplinary case conference meetings on assigned cases, review treatment progress and coordination of treatment interventions.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed to include phone consultation and in-person crisis support when needed.
  • Assist in the delivery of trainings to increase staff’s knowledge of client clinical issues and to ensure training meets annual requirements and regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work or a Master’s Degree in a related Mental Health field, which qualifies the applicant for an MFCC License.
  • Minimum six months experience in a mental health setting with children and families.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Clear fingerprint background screening through the Department of Justice, FBI and Child Abuse Index

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
