Title: Assistant Director, Adult Day Services

Reports to: Director, Adult Day Services

Summary:

This position helps support all functions of the Adult Services’ program including but not limited to: day to day program management, client enrollment, compliance with State/Federal regulations, and timely deliverables for state/county grants. Serve as advocate and liaison for the client with the parents, guardians, support coordinators, and group homes. Attends support plan meetings.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience: Minimum three years’ related experience working with adults with disabilities preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competency in interpersonal relations and customer service

Required Credentials:

All employees must pass a background screening and drug test for employment. First Aid / CPR certification preferred but will train to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the oversight of day-to-day programs and activities to ensure compliance as stated in the Florida Medicaid ibudget handbook for Life Skills Development3, APD handbook and annual Qlarant audit.
• Monitor client’s activity to meet or exceed established goals set annually.
• Maintain staff-to-client ratios and monitor regulatory training.
• Manage staff work schedules.
• Manage client files and reporting for support and implementation plans and all required monthly and annual compliance notes for APD and Medicaid handbook.
• Assist in ensuring timely and accurate deliverables and reporting for all adult related grants - state, county, etc.
• Serve as back up lead for all data required in Therap: Individual Support Plan, ISP daily notes, daily attendance, general event reports, reportable incidents, & transportation billing.
• Manage transportation schedule to ensure effective and timely transporting of clients.
• Maintain current medication certification and Hoyer Lift Training/Personal Care Training
• Ensure all adult staff maintain current medication certification and Hoyer Lift Training/Personal Care Training
• Comply with Easter Seals policies and procedures utilizing the highest standards of personal and professional ethics and behavior.
• Provide direct staff support and training to ensure quality programming.
• Demonstrate good judgment, diplomacy, courtesy. and effective communication while working at Easter Seals or when representing the organization.
• Other duties as assigned.
