Assistant Daycare Teacher Job at Emmanuel Baptist Daycare and Preschool

You will be working in the 1 year old class assisting the lead teacher. Your job will be to change diapers, feed the children, care for the children, and make sure that they are safe. You will also help the lead teacher to do crafts with the children, sing songs to the children and help them to be ready to transition to the 2 year old classroom. You will need to have your CPR and First Aid Certification, a Federal Background Check that states that you are qualified to work with children, and a negative TB test that was taken within the last 6 months. If you do not have these items, then you will need to acquire them before you can begin this position. You do not have to have a degree in child care education to work at this job, but experience is a plus. We are a faith based ministry, so we do have certain standards that we will expect from each employee. You will also be expected to keep the room clean and help with the cleaning of the building. This will include sweeping the floors and mopping them, cleaning bathrooms and wiping down tables. You will also need to have good people skills as you interact with parents.

Pay: From $9.00 per hour
