Carrier is currently recruiting for an
Assistant Controller-Refrigeration to join the team in
Palm
Beach Gardens, Florida.
About the Role:
This is an exciting role for an accounting professional with significant experience. The incumbent will enforce accounting policies, procedures, controls, and compliance with regulations and reporting requirements. They will also analyze financial reports and recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to difficult or unique business and financial problems.
Responsibilities:

Support and manage Refrigeration segment activities
-
Provide accounting guidance and leadership to business units including revenue recognition, operations accruals, fixed assets, inventory, and cost accounting

Provide technical accounting guidance for new business strategies
-
Manage the close process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and other ad hoc analysis as required

Perform monthly balance sheet reviews to ensure all account balances are accurate and supported
-
Consolidate and report the REF financials to WHQ and provide support for M&A activities
-
Track and report on SOX issues and support internal and external audits

Actively partner with Operational Finance and REF FP&A

Ensure internal controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively and manage the REF team’s overall compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and Carrier policies

Establish and maintain strong collaboration and communication with Carrier Business Services (CBS) to ensure accounting and internal controls executed by CBS meet SLA, internal controls, and accounting requirements

Support REF transformation and the implementation of large, complex Controllership projects and activities

Identify process improvements to simplify, streamline and drive automation efforts
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
-
Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, internal control, and compliance related areas
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent
-
Experience working with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), SAP S4 HANA, JDE and advanced MS Excel skills
-
Advanced analytical skills
-
Experience leading and managing teams is a plus
-
Strong interpersonal and functional skill sets required, including excellent communication and presentation skills

A hands-on leader who is not afraid of rolling up their sleeves to achieve the right outcomes
