1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the maintenance of the AeroGuard FAR Part 141 air Agency Certificate.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintain student, instructor, and applicable training center records in accordance with FAR Part 141.
  • Conduct or delegate student stage checks as required.
  • Maintain training standards as set forth by FAA regulation and AeroGuard company policy.
  • Conduct staff pre-hire interviews/flights as required.
  • Must be flexible and able to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

2.0 REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

  • CFI, CFII, and MEI

2.2 EXPERIENCE

  • Possess practical management experience.

2.3 SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must meet all applicable FAR Part 141 minimums for Assistant Chief Instructor. (FAR 141.36)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify problems or potential problems and develop and implements solution.

2.4 KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Windows 95/98.
  • Must have practical operational knowledge of flight school operations.

2.5 EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED

  • General office equipment such as facsimile, copier, personal computer, laminating machine, etc.
  • Vehicle operation such as company van, truck, golf cart, aircraft etc. as required.
  • Will require use of various simulators.

3.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Will be working in many environments inside and outside of the facility.
  • Will have exposure to aircrafts, simulators and equipment.
  • This position requires the utilization of each type of aircraft that AeroGuard Career Pilot Division incorporates in all of its programs.
  • Some out of state travel may be required.
  • May have some medium lifting required up to 50 pounds.
  • May require prolonged periods of sitting or standing bending and stooping.

4.0 OTHERS

  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Self-starter, does not wait for others to provide work, finds ways to keep busy or help others.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Innovative/creative, finds faster ways to do things to save time to the organization and the client.
  • Flexible/adaptable to fast changing pace and instructions according to client priorities.
  • This position is listed as Exempt.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
