Assembly Associate
Kimball Physics is currently seeking a fulltime Assembly Associate to join our assembly team. This person will be responsible for assembling systems and sub-assemblies to precise specifications. This is a will train job requiring basic skills. The applicant should have the ability to prioritize and work independently once trained.
This position includes significant duties such as:
  • Preparation of intricate components under a microscope and use small tools
  • Assembly of components per routers, drawings, and written procedures
  • Alignment of systems to meet specifications; Alignment of assemblies and in-process testing
  • Processing and final testing of assemblies; preparation of assemblies for shipment with supervision or involvement of other Assembly Specialists
  • Accuracy of assembly is extremely critical because failure to follow proper technique may not be immediately apparent
  • Problem solving with supervision
  • Good organizational skills an ability to be flexible with changing work demands
  • Attention to detail and quality paramount
  • Ability to follow SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure)
  • Must be self-directed and able to work unsupervised
  • May be required to help in other departments depending on workload
Working Conditions:
  • Sitting 80% of shift
  • 1st shift, flexible hours
Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
