ATTENDANTS (SLIDE/FOOD & BEVERAGE)

JOB SUMMARY

Glenview Park District is looking to hire staff to fulfill the responsibilities in the food and beverage operation as well as attendant at Flick Outdoor Aquatic Center. In this role you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and displaying concession food, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Operating all food preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrating and promoting positive guest relations and exceptional customer service.
• Working at the top of the water slides, directing people when they can go down the slide and ensuring all rules and guidelines are maintained by patrons.
• Assisting with cleaning tasks which include sanitizing and disinfecting concessions equipment, maintaining a clean pool deck, and applying food safety and handling techniques.
• Other duties as assigned by the Pool Manager, Aquatic Supervisor and Aquatic Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 16 years old by first day of work.
• Ideal applicants must be enthusiastic, friendly, and able to provide excellent customer service.
• Previous food handling, leadership and cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
• No prior experience or training needed. Glenview Park District will train all attendant staff prior to their first day of work.

SCHEDULING & PAY

• This is a seasonal position hiring Roosevelt and Flick Outdoor Pool from mid-May to the beginning of September.
• Candidates must also be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and special events. Candidates should be available to work at least 15-20 hours per week.
• Staff are guaranteed to request 10 days off work prior to the start of the season. Staff will also have the ability to submit time off requests throughout the season.
• Starting wage is $14.00/hour.
