JOB SUMMARY:
An Advanced Repair Technician is responsible for performing advanced repairs on Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBAs), such as Ball Grid Array (BGA) replacement, Thru-hole part replacement and board circuit repair to meet both IPC and customer specifications. An Advanced Repair Technician will also perform normal production hand soldering and assembly functions as needed to support business needs.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:*

Follow 5S and Safety guidelines.

  • Perform normal repair operations on PCBAs.’
  • Perform advanced repairs on PCBA’s including BGA, Pin through Hole (PTH) and trace repair in accordance with IPC standards.
  • Perform inspection to ensure assemblies meeting IPC standards.
  • Perform production soldering operations as required in accordance with IPC standards.
  • Enhance EW’s company culture and values.

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • IPC 610 certification (training to be provided).
  • JSTD certification (training to be provided).
  • IPC 7711 (training to be provided).
  • IPC 7721 (training to be provided).
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Problem solving and analysis skills required.
  • Attention to detail and organized.
  • Excellent computer literacy required.
  • High school diploma or two years of equivalent experience.
