Our confidential client in Gloucester County, NJ is looking to add an Administrator to their surgical team. This person will oversee the planning, organizing, directing and coordinating all administrative operations of Surgery Center.

RESPONSBILITIES

  • Oversees administrative personnel management including recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and retention of business office employees.
  • In conjunction with the Medical Director, determines clinical goals and effectively manages resources to achieve the goals and managing the quality improvement process.
  • Supervises and directs all Surgery Center personnel on a daily basis.
  • Oversees all facets of accounting, including maintenance of bank accounts and cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, preparation of accrual-based financial statements.
  • Assures compliance with regulatory agency guidelines.
  • Develops methods and systems to collect statistical data.
  • Maintains a collegial relationship with physicians to ensure quality patient care.
  • Maintains computer systems relevant to the business functions of the Surgery Venter.
  • Oversees all third-party payer-contracting.
  • Works to foster an environment that promotes staff growth and development.
  • Ensures adherence to Surgery Center policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Surgery Center, the community, and other local healthcare providers.
  • Interprets and implements administrative policies established by the Surgery Board of Directors.
  • Performs other functions as assigned by the Surgery Center Board of Directors.
  • Leveraging and utilizing the resources available through HI.
  • Maintaining records of and communicates to the client all projects where HI corporate was utilized.
  • Creates and implants a physician recruitment and retention program.
  • Creates and implements a business plan to achieve desired results.
  • Develops and implements the centers’ marketing and physician recruitment program.
  • Responsible for maintaining records of and communicating to the client all projects where HI corporate was utilized.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
    • MHA, MBA or MSN preferred
  • 3yrs experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting
  • 2yrs of supervisory experience with a clinical background
  • Working knowledge of ambulatory surgery billing and collection procedures
  • Working knowledge of credit laws and government regulations specific to relevant healthcare issues
  • Working knowledge of medical records systems
  • Working knowledge of computerized bookkeeping through financial statements
