SUMMARY
Responsible for insuring the accuracy and efficiency of the accounts payable function. Provides direction to Accounts Payable staff and oversees payment of invoices. Operates in a customer-focused shared services environment.
**This is an onsite position in Daytona Beach, 4 days per week onsite is expected****

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*

*

  • Prepares and enforce standardized SOP’s.
  • Manages daily work allocation and problem resolution.
  • Ensures timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
  • Oversees maintenance of departmental records.
  • Oversee month end accruals and reconciliation of sub-ledgers to general ledger.
  • Ensures staff is responsive to both internal and external customers and vendors and provides excellent customer service.
  • Addresses customer service issues escalated from Divisions or Department leaders.
  • Provides oversight and accountability for accurate time records of assigned workers.
  • Interacts with auditors, and provides documentation as requested.

Leadership*
*

  • Maintains awareness of relevant department level service level agreements (SLA’s) and works to ensure agreements are met.
  • Participates in staff performance related issues and periodic appraisals. Reviews and manages performance results based on key metrics.
  • Supports staffing through involvement with the selection, training, career development and evaluation programs that promote skill building, career advancement and employee engagement. Develops and conducts training programs for department employees.
  • Coaches use of software to ensure features are maximized.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS*

  • Minimum Degree: Bachelors Degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • Course of study:
  • Special Requirements: May work beyond normal company hours due to business/customer need.

EXPERIENCE*
*

  • Minimum experience: Minimum 5-7 years general experience; Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • Legal Age Requirements: At least 18 years of age
  • Experience with large-company ERP systems, and document retention solutions. (Preference would be experience with JD Edwards or Oracle)

REQUIRED SKILLS*

  • Must have standard, advanced, or expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Access or other applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Requires self-management and project management ability
  • Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles and strong internal controls; including SOX understanding.
  • Experience with handling customer service calls and monitoring call data.
  • Experience with internal and external mail services.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*

Work is performed in a typical office environment and may require standing, bending, lifting of boxes or packages under 10 lbs., and sitting for long periods of time.
Work requires regularly inputting/retrieving words or data into or from an automated/computer system.
