Position Title: Accountant

Reports to: Executive Director

Grade: A-4

Salary: $61,200 Annually

Positions Supervised: None

Purpose of this Position:

As a key member of the Management team, the Senior Accountant will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility, along with Controller for accounting, finance, forecasting and all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately completes accounts payable invoices.
• Completes invoice entry to accounts payable.
• Completes data entry and all other duties required to manage and maintain the payroll system.
• Provide management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
• Completes, updates and maintains the accounts receivable and payable systems. Completes, updates and maintains accounts payable and receivable files.
• Completes, updates and maintains budgets and cost reporting files.
• Prepares check disbursements as directed by the Executive Director.

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

Able to work well with a variety of people, a working knowledge of basic accounting principles, proficient in windows XP or advanced software, computerized Microsoft excel spreadsheets and computerized accounting systems.

Education: Degree in accounting required.
