Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday | 10:30 PM - 7 AM. (standard hours noted below but additional OT hours are available on each shift, ask for more details.)

Position Overview: The 3rd shift Diesel Mechanic B is responsible for performing maintenance on a variety of trucks, trailers, service trucks and other company vehicles. Typically, they will do everything on the equipment that their experience and skills allow them to. Some mechanics prefer 3rd shift but for those who don’t, this is the best way to get your foot in the door with a great company and great shop culture. As time goes on and as you establish yourself as part of our team, you will have opportunities to advance and grow within, moving onto different shifts and more complex repairs.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

• Perform preventative maintenance on class 8 tractor semis as well as straight trucks, dry van trailers, company cars, service trucks and other equipment.
• A, B and C services, Trailer PM’s & DOT’s
• Annual FHWA inspections on both trucks and trailers
• Repair and maintenance on tires, air drum and disc brakes, wheel seals, light repairs, trailer door repairs, ABS, etc.
• Complete required paperwork and enter data into maintenance software after each job
• Perform assigned tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Perform preventative maintenance on class 8 tractor semis as well as straight trucks, dry van trailers, company cars, service trucks and other equipment.

Job Requirements:

• 1+ years’ experience on heavy duty tractors and trailers
• Basic knowledge of Diesel engines, ABS, air brakes, exhaust, electrical, tires, etc.
• High School Diploma/GED, Trade or Vocational Training preferred
• Proficient in basic computer skills
• Must have adequate tools to perform tasks required
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position (lifting up to 100+ lbs., bending, climbing, standing for duration of shift, etc.)
• Driver’s License is preferred
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check test.
• Effectively read, write & understand verbal instructions in English
