Your New Role…

We're seeking an experienced Writer/Producer - News International to join the award-winning CNN Creative Marketing team, with a focus on brand and special projects. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating compelling promotional content for CNN, including brand sizzles, proof-of-performance spots, upfront materials, and high-profile special projects. Working out of our CNN New York office, you'll report to the Creative Director and collaborate with our team of writers, producers, designers and editors to produce high-quality marketing materials that engage and captivate our audience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a proven track record of creating high-quality campaigns, and exceptional skills in crafting compelling narratives.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop innovative marketing materials that effectively convey the CNN brand and resonate with our audience.

  • Write and produce captivating and impressive brand sizzle reels, upfront materials, and other content around strategic priorities.

  • Research footage, music, and other content to build compelling narratives that support projects under the supervision of the Creative Director.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas and campaigns.

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure that promotional content meets all relevant broadcast standards and guidelines.

  • Manage project schedules, timelines, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.

Your Qualifications & Experience…

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a broadcast environment or creative agency, with a focus on brand and longform content.

  • You have a passion for storytelling and are skilled at crafting compelling narratives.

  • You have excellent editing skills and the ability to craft narratives, select compelling visuals and create music cuts to form top-notch A/V campaigns.

  • You have a proven track record of creating high-quality campaigns that engage and captivate audiences, and have a portfolio that demonstrates it.

  • You're well-versed in Adobe Premiere and the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • You have exceptional project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.

  • You're a self-starter and strong team player who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced news environment.

  • You have a keen eye for detail and can anticipate needs.

  • You have professional judgment for handling confidential information.

  • You're capable of meeting deadlines and working under daily time constraints.

  • You love news, current events, nonfiction storytelling and CNN.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $77,840.00 - $144,560.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
