The Campus Services Unit is hiring Student Assistants for the Fall 2022 Semester to work in various departments within the unit. These include:
Applications will be collected throughout the Fall 2022 Semester. Please answer all questions as thoroughly and thoughtfully as possible to increase your chances of being selected for a departmental opening. You are strongly encouraged to schedule an On-Campus Job Search Assistance appointment with the AUM Career Development Center before applying. Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide applicable services to students, faculty, staff and the AUM Community.
Assist with day-to-day operations of a campus services department or office, including clerical, physical and technical tasks.
Work alongside other campus services team members to accomplish tasks.
Greet visitors to the department or office, answer telephone calls and electronic communication, and other reception tasks.
Ensure all departmental policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Maintain scheduled hours.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Customer service skills
Basic knowledge of computer software applications
Specialized knowledge associated with campus services departmental assignment
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Ability to represent the campus services unit with professionalism
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Organization and time management skills
Ability to operate equipment and tools related to departmental operations
May require specialized physical abilities related to departmental operations
Depending on the campus services department assignment, work outside of AUM business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, M-F), including nights and weekends may be required.
