General Position Description: This is a fun and fast-paced position which trains, greets, assists, and directs members, guests, and callers as they enter or call the gym. Each team member plays a key role in the member experience - they help in all aspects of club operations to assure each guest is taken care of. They learn how to create trust through the creation of new fitness programs, functional assessments and weigh-and-measures. Duties: Greets and checks-in all members as they enter the gym, Creates and Helps members follow Physical Fitness programs, greets and registers guests, answers the phone using the correct greeting and assists callers as needed, processes transactions at the point of sale register, assists members with inquiries, maintains a clean and orderly front desk/lobby area, ensures that front desk systems are followed such as proper Member Check-In, Telephone Inquiry, Guest Registration, Cash Handling, Replacement of Member ID Card, Delinquent Account Procedures, Account Change requests, projects a polished, professional image at all times, provides a superior level of customer service to members and guests, performs a variety of duties including training folding towels, doing walk-thru's of the facility or any other duties as assigned. Required Skills: -Availability is for Part Time (up to 30 hours a week) or Full Time—depending on effort -Must have a CPR or registered for CPR class to be taken closely following hire -Customer Service Experience, Sales Experience, Marketing Experience a PLUS -Includes Front Desk Duties (admin, approachability, trust, personable) -Safety of Members (Exercise background, CPR will be necessary for position) -Communication skills (Position will include engagement w/ Members and gym events) -MUST lead by example (be in shape or currently exercising) Advancement: This is a position that gets your foot in the door to advance to higher positions as managers.
