WELDER

Location-Norwalk, CT

King Industries, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Welder. In this role, you will assist with measurements, layout and preparation of metals for fabrication, for structural and piping jobs. As a Welder at King Industries, you will be part of the company’s maintenance department, which already has a staff of four welders.

Skills Required:

• Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, and multiplication).
• Ability to read and respond to written instructions.
• Knowledge of tools and mechanical ability to repair chemical piping and process equipment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience as a welder.
• Trade school or letter of recommendation from former employer of experience and abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• This position, will require you to travel to King Industries, Inc. second site, located in Waterbury, CT.
• Assist with measurements, layout and preparation of metals for fabrication.
• This includes structural job and piping jobs.
• Familiarity with various metal cutting practices.
• Contain knowledge of basic structural and dipping weld methods.
• Assist in repair and installation of stream, air, water and chemical piping and equipment through-out the plant year round.
• Assist with moving, installation and rigging of equipment on all elevations.
• Comply with company safety programs.
• Participates in company wide effort to promote quality assurance in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001:2018.
• Maintain a general knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001:2018 requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
