Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a Water Engineer (Municipal) to join our vibrant, growing water group in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The appropriately qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in leading all phases of municipal infrastructure projects, from conceptual / detailed design and permitting to engineering services during construction. These projects may include storm water systems (sewer/watercourse/best management practices), sanitary sewer systems, water mains and other infrastructure such as roadways, water, and site development applications.

You will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and clients. They will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and display drive, energy and enthusiasm for getting things done. You will be expected to support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal water, wastewater and storm water sector.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing and reviewing working drawings, plans, cost estimates, studies, reports, and other work products
• Preparing design and construction contracts.
• Mentoring and teaching junior staff.
• Analysis and design of stormwater drainage system, hydraulic structures, and highway drainage systems
• Must be capable of performing independent tasks, reviewing technical work of others
• Writing technical reports and memoranda
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience with municipal water, wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance and pumping infrastructure projects in Wisconsin
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and/or other storm / sanitary / and water systems modeling
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Wisconsin or ability to obtain within 6 months of work
• Experience in proposal writing, scoping and project management
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients.
• Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
