The Town of Batesburg-Leesville is seeking applications for the position of Wastewater
Maintenance/Operator, within the Utilities Department.
Job Duties
Daily inspections of sewer lift stations and the treatment facility
Cleaning stations
Disassembling and cleaning pumps; greasing
General electric work and repairs when necessary, grounds upkeep
Perform plant maintenance such as cleaning, painting equipment, replacing bearings, motors, and
shafts
Must be willing to drive a tractor, work weekends and call outs, and work towards Certification for
Wastewater Plant Operator
Qualifications
Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License
High School diploma
Salary Info: Salary will be commensurate to Operator Licensing level and experience and benefits, to include,
medical and dental insurance, life insurance and long term disability insurance, paid annual leave, paid sick
leave, paid holidays and SC State Retirement.
