The Warehouse Training Coordinator is responsible to oversee the employee training program and onboarding process. As a Training Coordinator, your responsibilities include the development, management, and coordination of new hire and current employee department trainings. Additionally, this role will be responsible for ensuring employees are certified and/or re-certified as needed. The Warehouse Training Coordinator will so be responsible for increasing employee’s versatility, expertise and enthusiasm via hands on training, motivational support and encouragement.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coach and train new and existing team members through qualification curriculum, which includes becoming certified and operating various types of warehouse equipment (manual or electric pallet jacks, forklift, order picker, hoist, and/or turret truck).
  • Train in warehouse environment on routine tasks; pick orders/materials, unload trailers, sort and label raw materials, put away product to pick locations, move materials to/from production areas, palletize /shrink wrap pallets, scan information using RF, load pallets onto trucks.
  • New Hire Onboarding: Obtain locker information, collect PPE, meet new hire on first day to begin training and provide tours
  • Ability to conduct hands-on demonstration and training with new and existing team members
  • Manage SOP’s, LMS trainings and transition to new employees
  • Provide training modules as assigned by leadership, provide plant tour, and cover company acronyms to better enhance assimilation
  • Maintain training records
  • Evaluate and qualify team member's readiness to perform role
  • Ensure that Material Handlers are always operating forklift and walkies safety, following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Instruct employees in correct product assembly and inspection techniques to improve overall product quality, efficiency and ergonomics

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Warehouse environment; previous experience as Material Handler/ Forklift driver
  • Strong one-on-one communication skills. Demonstrated ability to meet the information needs of the team through regular and effective communication and follow-up.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent training skills and ability to provide direction effectively to others.
  • Very strong administrative and planning skills.
  • Knowledgeable of administrative processes, systems and procedures for area of responsibility.
  • Positive, respectful, high energy, team focused, and motivating style with the team and across functions.
  • Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot a variety of issues (assess a situation, identify the cause, and determine potential solutions).
  • Able and willing to be an effective member of the team including performing regular work tasks in area as the position allows.
  • Takes initiative to make things better and is positive and supportive of process improvement efforts.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
  • Strong record of performance in the areas of attendance, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • High school diploma/GED required; post-secondary education preferred.
  • Responsible for following food safety/regulatory policies and procedures, executing responsibilities as identified in standard operating procedures, and reporting food safety/regulatory concerns to the Production or Quality Manager.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in basic English and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
  • Able to use Microsoft suite of products including Excel

HOURS AND PAY:

This position works M-F day shift at our Little Chute, WI facility. We offer competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift. The employees must frequently lift and/or move items up to and including fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job are close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
