Job Description Summary
The Oakland University School of Nursing is seeking applications for one or more Full-timeVisiting Instructor positions to begin August 15, 2023. Applicants will be expected to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses dependent on their qualifications. Candidates will have completed a master’s or doctorate (Ph.D., DNP, DNSc, etc.) from an accredited university. A background or teaching experience in medical-surgical, fundamentals, obstetrics, pediatrics, forensics, and/or mental health is desirable, but all qualified applicants will be considered. Teaching experience is desirable. Candidates must be able to demonstrate exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills as well as provide evidence of community/service engagement. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates will have completed a master’s in nursing or a doctorate (Ph.D., DNP, DNSc, etc.) from an accredited university. Applicants must have an active Michigan RN License.

The School of Nursing offers high-quality and accessible education through CCNE-accreditedprograms, including basic BSN, RN-BSN, BSN 2nd degree, DNP in nurse anesthesia, MSN in family nurse practitioner, adult-gerontology nurse practitioner, acute care nurse practitioner, forensic nursing, and a post-masters DNP as well as a Ph.D. program.
