Job Summary:
  • Your role assumes line responsibility and authority for the administrative direction, evaluation, and coordination of Quality and Risk Management, Patient Safety, Patient Complaints, Regulatory Compliance and Infection Control.
  • Authorized by the Chief Executive Officer, you will take immediate action as necessary when aware of practices that jeopardize compliance with state, federal, regulatory, or accreditation guidelines, standards, laws or policies. The Chief Executive Officer will be advised and/or consulted as necessary.
  • Your role is comfortable and skilled at working with physicians, health care providers and other stakeholders in the organization.
  • Your role is capable of gaining immediate credibility with individuals through experience, presentation, communication skills, empathy and compassion.
  • You will need analytical skills, including a working knowledge of basic statistics and statistical analysis methodologies.
  • Your role has broad knowledge and familiarity with healthcare-related regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Your role directs the clinical risk management program, including the functions of clinical risk management, claims management, program administration and risk management education for the facility.
  • Your role effectively performs the leadership, managerial, environment of care/infection control, performance improvement and departmental responsibilities.

  • Current RN state license.
  • Previous management experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field required.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and/or Certified Profession in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years health care experience (clinical experience preferred) required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical risk management preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft computer software, i.e., Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.
