Veterinary Assistant Job at All Pets Animal Hospital of Bentonville
Description
We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
- This is a full-time position that averages 34-38 hours per week.
- Schedules include some full days and half-days, but you'll need to be available 7:00 am-6:30 pm on weekdays, and Saturday mornings
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient handling and restraint
- Medication administration & filling prescriptions
- Interacting with pet owners during outpatient appointments and following up with client instruction and education
- Performing diagnostic testing
- Assisting our Technicians and our Veterinarian as needed
- Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!)
Our ideal candidate:
- Possess previous experience in the veterinary medical profession
- Able to perform diagnostic testing in radiology, ultrasound, and our in-house laboratory
- Is someone looking for a positive workplace where your technical expertise and communication skills are valued
- Experience hospitalized patients, prepping/monitoring/post-procedure care of surgical patients is preferred
