Job Title: Van Systems Specialist

Reports to: Custom Director

Location: Port Townsend, Washington

Job Summary

Camp N Car is seeking a Van Systems Specialist to take the lead on installing a wide range of systems that our world-class camper conversions need to make them comfortable homes on wheels. This includes the installation of mobile electrical systems, plumbing, toilets, showers, sinks, and more. The Van Systems Specialist is a dynamic role that works closely with the rest of our custom conversions team to build campers that will last a lifetime and keep our customers happy and comfortable while they enjoy life's greatest adventures.

Key Responsibilities

● Work with the Custom Shop team on the execution of custom van and vehicle campers.
● Specialize in the installation of electrical systems and appliances in a wide variety of projects including but not limited to: vans, cars, RVs, trailers, truck campers & more.
● Install and inspect plumbing systems to ensure proper functioning and safety.
● Continually improve your knowledge and competency in the installation of van systems.
● Provide assistance with shop cleanliness, tool maintenance, and infrastructure improvements to improve workflows and efficiency.
● Accurately track and report time and materials expenses for each project.
● Contribute to the overall design and functionality of all Camp N Car custom conversions.

Requirements

Experience with mobile electrical and 12V systems is a must. A working familiarity with plumbing systems is also required. The ideal candidate will have experience with van conversions.
However past work with boats, tiny homes, and other dwellings that utilize similar systems is also acceptable. Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to complex projects are needed in this dynamic and growing industry. A basic understanding of carpentry and how the systems all relate to the wider van build is also necessary. We are looking for someone who is a team player who can help us grow and improve as a company while bringing in very helpful skills that will allow us to create more world-class camper conversions.

Compensation & Benefits

● Starting pay ranges between $25 - $30 an hour depending on experience

Schedule

● 4-Day work weeks with the potential to increase to 5-day work weeks if desired
● Work days start at 9:00 AM and end at 5:00 PM with unpaid lunch and paid breaks
● Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday schedule depending on availability and need
● Opportunities for a flexible schedule as needed with advance notice
