Summary

As a Van Driver with Riverdale Health Care Center, you will ensure that our residents get to their appointments and other scheduled events. Your hard work and meaningful efforts will help us to continue providing the highest quality healthcare possible. You will have direct impact on the quality of care that our residents receive. Your outcome-focused work will leave you feeling empowered at the end of each day because you'll know you've made a difference in the lives of our residents.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Must have a great driving record verified through Department of Highway Safety.
  • Criminal History will be verified.
  • Work well with the Geriatric population.
  • Secure all resident transports appropriately.
  • Assist loading, unloading and waiting for residents at their appointments.
  • Participates in continuing education.
  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties within allotted time.
  • Obtain the necessary documents from the nurse for the resident requiring transport. Keeps Supervisor or other, as appropriate, informed about resident’s status and related matters. Perform complete, timely, and accurate transportation.
  • Applies process for improvement in daily work in the team process.

Other Duties

  • Performs other duties as assigned or delegated by the DON or Administrator.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirements are a High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Current state driver's license and current car insurance.
  • When driving the facility van, you will be covered under the facilitie's car insurance policy
