Used Car/Reconditioning Technician Job at Trophy Nissan
Job Summary: We are looking for an Experienced Used Car/Recon technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong technical background and have certifications. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done. Compensation will scale with experience and certifications.

Responsibilities
-
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.

Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.

Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.

Communicate directly with the Recon Manager so that notes are updated for efficient processing of vehicles through the Recon process.

Identify vehicles with unseen body or mechanical damage before starting any repairs.

Ensuring timely estimates are generated for recon Manager to gather approval for.

Assist other Recon team members with any other issues as they arise.

Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule

Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Trophy Nissan brand

Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-
2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
-
Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

Valid driver's license and clean driving record
