The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai through its affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full-time Geriatric Hospitalist for its Trauma Service in the Department of Surgery. Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 545-bed tertiary care facility and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center in the ethnically diverse borough of Queens, NY.

The successful candidate will provide geriatric care and consultation for injured elderly inpatients on the Trauma, Orthopedic, and Neurosurgery services. The candidate will be an active member of the Trauma Program, participating in performance improvement initiatives, developing clinical practice guidelines and protocols, and also having the opportunity to conduct research. There is no on-call requirement.

Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Geriatric Medicine with a valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number. Qualified candidates should have strong clinical abilities, teaching experience, communication and interpersonal skills. We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.
