Transit Road Supervisor/Operator Trainer High Valley Transit – Summit County, UT

We are looking for a friendly and self-motivated driver with a valid CDL to supervise and train new drivers in Summit County. Our efforts provide a public service by helping people reach their destination in a timely and comfortable manner. Joining our team lets you enjoy the beautiful scenery while supporting the community.

Transit Road Supervisor/Operator Trainer will contribute to our team. This person will:

· Supervise Transit Operations

· Train new, returning, and current operators in both a classroom and on the road setting

· Evaluate and supervise new drivers

· Fill in and drive routes when not training

· Perform associated duties according to RTW’s policies while under pressure and demonstrating respect and courtesy, especially when supervising subordinate personnel

Qualifications:

· Valid Utah Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with air brakes and passenger endorsement

· ELDT (entry level driver training) certification or Minimum 2+ years (5 years preferred) demonstrated experience supervising and/or training with a Class B, Commercial driver’s license, passenger endorsement, and air brakes

· 2+ years demonstrated supervisory or management experience 5 year preferred

· Knowledge, understanding, and ability to adhere to Federal Transportation Administration (FTA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.

· Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the safe transportation of passengers.

· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

· Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software.

· Ability to deal calmly and effectively with emergencies and to make and implement decisions in all types of situations.

· Pass Criminal Background Check

Salary and Benefits

· Wage: $30 an hour

• $2500 sign on bonus
