We are seeking a Regional Training Instructor to join our team in Whitehouse, Ohio and provide training for the needs of BASF’s Automotive Refinish Group. As Regional Trainer, you will lead the development and execution of technical application training programs and manage a physical training center.

Additionally, you will conduct courses for internal BASF team members, distributor team members and end consumers. You will be teaching in-person and virtual classes. You will also be the content expert on projects that deal with helping to build e-Learning modules. You will be looked upon as the digital expert with all our digital tools and leader in social media avenues. The Regional trainer will be looked upon as the product and application expert in the region.

The role is critical in executing BASF’s strategy to build training as a competitive advantage and will require an innovative thinker who can drive new digital solutions that elevate our training and add value for our customers. In addition, you must possess strong technical skills in the automotive refinish industry, advanced facilitation skills, and general knowledge of business operations in the collision repair industry. In this role travel will vary from 20-30%.


As a Regional Training Instructor, you create chemistry by…

  • Managing a training facility, including working with co-workers, agencies, and vendors to obtain third party services for maintenance and on-going operations
  • Researching and implementing new training methods and digital solutions to drive innovation in our training procedures and add value with customers. You will also Identify future training opportunities and create a curriculum to facilitate that training
  • Leading and facilitating training courses for internal and external customers, both in-person and virtually, including technical and digital business software
  • Developing and coordinating training material for certifications and other courses that pertain to the refinish process.
  • Participating on the User Acceptance Team for Refinity color and business solutions, as well as assisting in development of ideas and strategies for value-added programs and services.
  • Participating in collision industry events to support BASF’s initiatives.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent


Your formula for success…

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred), or equivalent of 5 years in the automotive collision industry with technical hands-on experience.
  • Previous training instructor expertise or a high school diploma with ten years of industry expertise in the automotive collision industry.
  • Experience in leading and facilitating groups / Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent ability to leverage digital solutions.
  • Expert proficiency with applying automotive refinish products.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point and navigate multiple computer software packages.
  • Excellent team building, and organization skills.
