onsemi, based in East Fishkill, New York is seeking a highly skilled and motivated electrical Functional Test Engineer, responsible for existing wafer sort test program/hardware transfer as well as sustaining production on Tester platforms Teradyne ETS-200/300, ETS-88TH; and 300mm Probers Accretech UF3000; TEL PrescioXL.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Install/Qualify various Functional Tester Platforms for full production readiness including:
  • Responsible to develop, debug, qualify, and deploy test programs for high power, high voltage semiconductor discrete devices
  • Qualify new tools for manufacturing
  • Work with onsemi teams around the world in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Design experiments and analyze data to verify data precision
  • Support manufacturing, identify issues and work with team to resolve them
  • Use bench test equipment to confirm test result correctness

Requirements:

• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering/ Computer Engineering or Solid State Physics or a similar degree

• Familiar with of fundamentals of semiconductor device physics.
• Familiar with C++ and data analysis software.
• Experience or knowledge in the GR&R process.
• Demonstrated ability to solve the problems

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS. Degree in Electrical Engineering or Solid State Physics
• Experience in Semiconductor Parametric & Functional Test and Characterization
• Experience in manufacturing metrics and problem solving in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic, motivated, and self-driven
• Demonstrate ability to work well within a global matrixed team or environment with minimal supervision
• Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies
• Strong organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments
• Familiar with 6-sigma, DOE, FMEA
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
