Technician Associate
Location: Lima, OH
Duration: 12-months, potential to convert
Pay Rate: 23.57
5 days on-site work for training, when trained, hybrid schedule (40% on site, 40% remote, 20 % in field)
Job Description:
- Self-starting individual with a desire to learn powerline design.
- Preparing required orders, obtaining right of way, etc. to implement recommended system improvements.
- Contracting the project design group for advice on system improvements needed to serve new loads and other issues as needed.
- Learning and becoming proficient in the use of MS Outlook, Distribution Design Studio, Electric Office, Field view, PDS, EEMS, TLM, STORMS, OPS, JERI, CAD, and other MS publications.
- Demonstrates ability to work with others in supplying information and seek assistance as necessary.
- Plans work in accordance with company standard planning practices.
- Prioritizes routing work to meet the demands of the company.
- Applies technical knowledge and experience in resolving problems encountered in assigned work.
- Demonstrates ability to be a team player.
- Develops an understanding of the role and responsibilities of the local organizational unit.
- Can read and understand schematic drawings
- General knowledge of the electrical system and equipment.
- Electrical Utility Experience highly preferred.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- + 2 years of related utility industry work experience
- Associates Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Civil, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
