The Role:

We’re looking for ambitious candidates who are looking to gain in-depth management experience within an educational/youth development setting!

Help youth thrive and empower fellow Youth Development team members! This unique opportunity allows you to work directly with youth while also improving your leadership skills and gaining management experience. As a Site Supervisor Team Leader (SSTL) you will supervise one primary before/after school program site in addition to supporting a group of secondary sites and their program staff. Oversee and support your sites’ Teacher Assistants and Site Supervisors by providing training, guidance, and coaching. Facilitate high-quality youth programming by planning and implementing daily activities and fostering positive interactions. This full-time position is housed primarily within public schools.

As a Site Supervisor Team Leader, you will:

  • Implement daily activities in an engaging and inclusive manner that encourages participation.
  • Develop and uphold a daily program schedule that is flexible enough for spontaneous learning and stimulation yet offers enough security to meet the needs of all youth.
  • Provide direct interaction and engagement with youth while supervising them in both small and large groups
  • Ensure that all program areas (indoor and outdoor) are clean, organized, and safe.
  • Nurture a family-centered program that encourages a partnership between the family and program staff.
  • Interview, train, supervise, and evaluate your assigned staff
  • Provide coaching to Site Supervisors – including time to discuss issues and provide support.
  • Develop positive relationships with school principals, faculty, and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and Council on Accreditation guidelines.

For this position, you must have:

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience in childhood education theory and application.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) and Basic First Aid certification (within 60 days of employment).

Bonus points if you have:

  • Master’s Degree in education-related or youth development field required
  • Previous management or supervisory experience
