As a Teacher Aide, you will help prepare the classroom environment to support developmentally appropriate practices, assist in collaborative lesson plans, and support children's growth and development through quality learning experiences. JFCAC Head Start is a federally funded program designed to support school readiness for children ages birth through 5 years of age for children and families living in poverty.

Job Duties:

  • The Teacher Aide will integrate High Scope Curriculum into daily practice
  • The Teacher Aide assists in preparing the classroom environment to support developmentally appropriate practices
  • The Teacher Aide will help plan and participate in family activity events
  • The Teacher Aide will support the role of families as the first and primary teachers of their children
  • The Teacher Aide will attend and participate in training and professional development
  • The Teacher Aide will maintain a clean and sanitary environment


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Work and/or field experience in early childhood.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle.
