Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.


The Role

The EDI/B2B Systems Engineer is responsible for project-based implementations as well as administration, configuration, monitoring, maintenance and support of existing production EDI and managed file transfer (MFT) solutions in IBM Sterling Integration Suite. This position will serve in a leadership role, directing and managing technical aspects of EDI/B2B technologies and collaborating with a variety of technical team members.


Job Functions/Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of EDI, B2B, and managed file transfer services with a variety of internal and external trading partners. Develop business processes and transformation maps in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • Establish and maintain secure connections with partners.
  • Responsible for the administration of the IBM Sterling B2B solution, including configuration, patching and software upgrades. Research technology solutions and recommend initiatives in support of PACCAR's infrastructure investment roadmap.
  • Provide on call support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience administering and developing EDI and B2B solutions in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • Experience in integration concepts including: Business-to-Business (B2B), platform-to-platform, encryption/decryption, certificate management, and EDI trading partner integration development.
  • Experience with Java and Java virtual machine applications
  • Extensive experience with a variety of communication protocols such as AS2, HTTP/S, SOAP, SFTP, FTPS, and MSMQ.
  • Experience with EDI Mapping and XML data transformation technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and management colleagues.


Education

  • B. S. degree in Computer Science or Mathematics desired
  • Successful candidates should have 5+ years of multidisciplinary technical experience with a medium to large organization, preferably in a systems administrator or similar technical support role.
