Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

This position is responsible for providing technology support within Finance and Administration. This position will work cooperatively with the FAIS team to provide for the efficient operation of the computing and information systems for the departments served by Finance and Administration.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Experience managing a wide variety of Windows servers and desktops working in an Enterprise Active Directory environment.
  • Ability to perform Enterprise Server System Administration work effectively with general supervision.
  • Experience with enterprise server hardware and responding to issues
  • Extensive customer service experience in a corporate, education or retail environment.
  • Have, or be able to obtain at time of hire, a valid driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends on occasion and to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in responding to network security incidents.
  • Experience with systems monitoring and alerting solutions.
  • Experience in administration of Linux servers/
  • Experience with statistical modeling software (SPSS, SAS, etc).
  • Experience using SQL query tools.
  • Experience working with assistive technologies for impaired users.
  • Experience with database technologies (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc.).

Monthly Salary: Range 31T | $5,499.00 - $7,399.00 (Step A through M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. WSU offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes: paid sick and vacation leave; paid holidays; medical, dental, life and disability insurance package for employees and dependents; retirement; deferred compensation and optional supplemental retirement accounts.
