AVP, Marketing & Growth
The Assistant Vice President, of Marketing & Growth will develop, implement and lead the establishment of a powerful, integrated marketing and media strategy based on research, marketplace differentiators and growth opportunities to connect with NorthShore – Edward-Elmhurst’s (NS-EEH) external and internal audiences—in ways that are aligned and consistent with overall brand messages and business goals.
This role will prioritize and oversee the successful execution and delivery of short-term and long-term marketing initiatives that deliver on NS-EEH’s marketplace differentiators and innovation opportunities; business goals and growth targets; marketing vision and strategy; brand story-telling and media strategy and operations.
This AVP position will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will collaborate closely with senior peers on the CMO’s direct-report team.
This is a highly cross-functional role requiring both strategic and tactical execution. This role requires someone who is highly collaborative, not afraid of change, curious, inventive, a bold collaborator, and works to be a little better every single day.
• Identify, validate, evangelize and develop a breakthrough, insights-driven cohesive marketing, media and research strategy aligned to NS-EEH’s external and internal segments.
- Implement services marketing that is differentiating, innovative, moves the needle with target audiences, ties to NS-EEH’s value proposition, strengthens services growth and brand name and reputation.
- Develop, implement and oversee the application of a rigorously metrics-driven, research-based methodology and results accountability into the marketing team, mindset and process.
- Build, lead and empower a collaborative marketing team to create best-in-class, game-changing, integrated marketing and communication programs and operations that powerfully tell services, patient and care team stories that measurably connect with external stakeholders across a strategically optimized mix of channels, platforms and formats.
- Develop and manage effective, agile process and program management disciplines and their successful application to produce consistently high-quality marketing, communications and media programs that hit it out of the park, according to metrics you help set.
- Problem-solve masterfully and possess the leadership skills to work closely with marketing, healthcare, operations and executive stakeholders across the organization.

- 10+ years professional experience in marketing, communication and sales
- 7+ years professional experience in building and leading teams
- Demonstrated experience with performance marketing and marketing operations
- Demonstrated experience using data to inform decision making & strategy planning
- Proven leadership experience influencing others and communicating direction
- Strong analytical skills. Loves working with data
- Effective storyteller: able to merchandise and extend messages to multiple audiences
- Proficiency in marketing automation systems
- Ability to masterfully manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
- Technically capable, excellent communicator, and a desire to improve processes
- Experience building a new function
- Experience engaging at an executive level with cross-functional groups
- Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
- Experience in content marketing
