Sylvan Learning of the Twin Cities is looking for part-time tutors to work off-site in Saint Paul! As a part-time Sylvan tutor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach in a small group setting. You will provide personalized instruction in the subjects you are qualified to and wish to teach. If you aspire to inspire, then we want you on our team!

Responsibilities:

• Instruct students by following Sylvans curriculum
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Manage students, tasks and time to create a balanced and robust instructional, educational session
• Supports procedures to ensure student safety and well-being
• Communicate any student needs to center director
• Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment
• Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching at Sylvan!

Requirements:

• Able to Engage, motivate and inspire students to learn
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and be flexible
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills

Position Details:

• Part- Time position starting at $20.00/hour
• Flexible scheduling
  • Monday - Thursday evening
  • Saturday mornings
• Reports to: Area Director
• No prep! Fully prepared lesson plans and materials are provided!

• Wil not be held at a center; will be held at a school and responsible for transporting supplies
