Looking for a unique and fun new opportunity? Our team is looking for a Sushi Chef to join our team at a casual dining establishment. The ideal candidate has experience performing Japanese cuisine and is familiar with making their own sushi. The Sushi Chef is responsible for working with the Chief Sushi Chef, rolling sushi, and making a variety of traditional sushi dishes.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a high-volume restaurant.
- Prepare and serve sushi.
- Prepare and serve other Japanese dishes.
- Maintain good food handling standards.
- Communicate with co-workers and the manager.
- Assist customers when they have problems with the restaurant meal.
- Knowledge of basic cooking methods to prepare sushi rice, and roll and cut fish, vegetables and rice.
- Exercise self-control in stressful situations to maintain customer service and employee relations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
