CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Surveyor I to join our Survey & SUE Team in Duluth, GA.
YOUR IMPACT:
CHA's comprehensive approach to survey work and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is the hallmark of a successful project. We are focused on the use of advanced measurement technology to improve our process and results. Our robust quality assurance/quality control processes result in accurate and precise work.

The Surveyor I is responsible for supporting field and office related survey tasks undertaken by the Survey/SUE Business Practice. This is an entry level technical position that will provide the individual a blend of field survey and office survey experience and assignments. All field survey work conducted by a Surveyor I will be supervised by a crew chief or other similar level staff who will be in responsible charge. Office tasks will be conducted in a support role, and closely supervised by a Surveyor III, Project Manager or Section Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • No prior experience required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office is required
  • AutoCAD design software is preferred, MicroStation & Inroads software is preferred
  • Good oral and written communications is required
  • Demonstrates a good knowledge about the surveying industry
  • Possesses a strong ability and desire to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to carry equipment over rough, uneven terrain, and physically navigate varying field conditions
