The Surveyor I is responsible for supporting field and office related survey tasks undertaken by the Survey/SUE Business Practice. This is an entry level technical position that will provide the individual a blend of field survey and office survey experience and assignments. All field survey work conducted by a Surveyor I will be supervised by a crew chief or other similar level staff who will be in responsible charge. Office tasks will be conducted in a support role, and closely supervised by a Surveyor III, Project Manager or Section Manager.

- High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- No prior experience required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office is required
- AutoCAD design software is preferred, MicroStation & Inroads software is preferred
- Good oral and written communications is required
- Demonstrates a good knowledge about the surveying industry
- Possesses a strong ability and desire to work in a team environment
- Must be able to carry equipment over rough, uneven terrain, and physically navigate varying field conditions
