The Surgical Tech will maintain standards of nursing care, while a member of the surgical team, under the supervision and direction of professional nurses and in accordance with approved policies, procedures and schedules.

The Ideal candidate can demonstrate the ability to work work in demanding and stressful situations.

Hours: 7am-3:30pm or 7am-5:30pm; Weekend/Holiday Rotation required

Promotes good work/life balance with a FT Call team in place, therefore leading to a minimal call requirement.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience required.

Certification and Licensure

Must meet one of the following requirements:

• Successfully complete a program sponsored by an entity holding a nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation and hold and maintain surgical technologist certification from an accredited certification program
• Successfully complete an appropriate training program for surgical technologists in the US Army, Navy or Air Force
• Provide evidence that they maintain a surgical technologist certification from an accredited certification program, were employed to practice as a surgical technologist by the healthcare facility on or before the effective date of this law (12/28/2020), or were employed to practice as a surgical technologist as the individuals primary function in another healthcare facility at any time during the two years immediately preceding the effective date of this law.
• Must comply annually with the continuing education requirements necessary to maintain the certified surgical technologist credential and provide proof of compliance with the health care facility upon request
• Current Healthcare Provider CPR required
