AEVEX is looking for a Support Engineer in the San Diego Region. This role is to help transform our customer support apparatus. You are a generalist engineer who is interested in learning more in the field of Geospatial, GPS, Drone/LiDAR mapping technological. You are an excellent written and verbal communicator with a keen eye for detail who will define policies, improves our self-help customer support technical platforms and create a positive customer experience during delivery and post-delivery. You are self-directed; curious by nature and an impressively quick learner.

Essential Functions:

    n
  • Manage customer support data and tracking systems.
  • n
  • Create content for our self-help tools, including videos, web forum content and FAQs.
  • n
  • Manage document change orders, including reviewing, routing and tracking of new and revised documents for approval, filing of controlled documents and other documentation.
  • n
  • Provide fast, accurate and personalized communication via email and phone.
  • n
  • Solve problems, communicate effectively, and collaborate with team members to remove any barriers for the customer.
  • n
  • Contribute to the success of the company by maintaining and supporting strong customer relations.
  • n
  • Provide feedback, insights and data to the product development and quality teams to influence companywide product improvements.
  • n
  • Provide great customer support experiences.
  • n
  • Create, maintain and organize the repository of documentation, ensuring that information is accurate and current.
  • n
  • Provide entry level support primarily for end users, along with developers and corporate customers via telephone, written correspondence, and electronic media.
  • n
  • Provide support for more complex products under general supervision.
  • n
  • Keep product users informed about system functionality and enhancements.
  • n
  • Thorough logging and tracking of identified system problems through resolution.
  • n

Qualifications:

n
    n
  • BA/BS. Engineering discipline including but not limited to Aerospace, Computer or Mechanical engineering.
  • n
  • Excellent composition and grammar skills.
  • n
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research as needed.
  • n
  • Self-motivated and self-starter.
  • n
  • Work effectively in both independent and team environments.
  • n
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • n
  • Adept at communicating technical concepts clearly and precisely.
  • n
  • "Can-do" attitude and a willingness to help other teams where required.
  • n
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software, such as Microsoft Office Suite and other support software tools.

  • Understanding of software source code.
  • n
  • Ability to setup test environments that may include software, hardware and test equipment.
  • n
  • Geospatial, GPS, and/or Drone/LiDAR mapping technological experience.
  • n
  • Experience with aerial imagery interpretation, coordinate system/projection troubleshooting, geodatabase design and management, model building, AutoCAD data conversion, VB scripting, data overlay techniques.
  • n
  • Prior experience in a customer facing technical support role.
  • n
  • Ability to tackle complex problems and concepts and use resources to identify possible solutions.
  • n
