Based in our Crum Lynne, Pennsylvania office, this individual must have the ability to efficiently and effectively manage Supply & Replenishment for large retailers while maintaining reporting systems for business trends and performance. This position requires being a subject matter in the organization for Supply Chain, Forecasting & Replenishment’s impact on operating within the Fresh Produce business.

This position requires customer focus and building strong relationships across multi-functional teams internally and externally. Act as a problem solver, independent decision-maker and liaison between Supply, Operations, Replenishment and various internal company departments. The Individual must possess critical and analytical skills that continuously enhance customer service standards while driving best-in-class solutions. Self-motivated and consistently demonstrates an ability to participate in a group environment supporting a team concept.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS / DUTIES OF THE POSITION

  • Influence the development of Walmart and/or Dole’s processes and systems that support forecasting, replenishment, supply and flow of goods to Walmart distribution centers and stores such that growth and efficiencies are achieved.
  • Develop and maintain productive customer relationships with Replenishment, Buying & Sourcing teams
  • Responsible for monitoring daily customer orders, processing internally & providing all necessary communication to service customer orders.
  • Regular and daily engagement with Dole internal teams such as: Sourcing, Sales, Commodities, Transportation, Finance, Operations, Warehouse, Quality Control, etc.
  • Responsible for day-to-day engagement, performance and issue management of transportation service providers.
  • Develops and analyzes daily/weekly order demand into load plans and routings that meet Dole Diversified cost and service objectives.
  • Handles all Supply & Transportation opportunities that arise by gathering information and problem solving to resolve and communicate back to all necessary functional groups (Carrier Claims, USDA fruit issues).
  • Ensure processes, tools and training documentation are maintained as customer systems evolve.
  • Communicate fully with superiors, direct team members and all cross functional supporting members who have a need to know.
  • Maintain an awareness of customer’s current activities such as: promotions, new item launches, discontinued products, new product development, price changes, etc., and take necessary actions to execute plans.
  • Complete assigned reports and analysis as defined.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in logistics, analytics and/or transportation.
  • Prefer candidates with experience in consumer, food, or retail analytics, transportation/logistics in a high volume, fast paced supply chain.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products and Excel.
  • Knowledge of logistics, analytics transportation/shipping & receiving procedures and practices.
  • Self-starter, that can work under pressure and with time constraints.
  • Must have the ability to make quick, comparative decisions.
  • Maintain regular and acceptable attendance.
  • Can follow and expand on direction as needed. Work across, interact, and influence other functional groups at all levels.
  • Understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Analytics, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in similar position (preferably perishable/grocery category experience)

  • External: Interact with with customer Buying, Replenishment & Sourcing teams.

WORK HOUR REQUIREMENT

  • Ability to work weekends, after hours, holidays and overtime as required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel up to 10% international and domestic.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and utilize a variety of office equipment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum 25 lbs. and reach overhead.
