$95,000 - $115,000The Operations Project Manager provides a full range of productivity support services to manufacturing operations, cost reduction programs and continuous improvement initiatives. Th Operations Project Manager provides support in disciplines of best business practices including, but not limited to, yield improvement, manpower utilization, overhead spend, capital utilization, indirect spend, plant utilization and efficiency, working capital both raw material and finished goods. This role will work closely with all areas of the plant to drive greater utilization of processes and procedures and higher proficiency on the changes impacting employees in the organization such that business results are achieved. This role is based in Colorado Springs, CO. will require occasional travel to Omaha, NE

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Plan and execute CI projects and Operations Projects by developing upstream smart ideas/best practice replication.
  • With deep knowledge proof on engineering related with milk industry at processing areas, utilities, packaging areas support and lead implementations and executions on plants.
  • Manage a multiple projects portfolio of initiatives to lead E2E the implementations from an idea to a solid implemented solution on sites.
  • Identify opportunities for productivity within the facility and coordinate projects through to completion.
  • Engage line/process/department personnel in all phases of improvement efforts (including Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC projects, line balancing, creating standard work, SMED and daily work improvements).
  • Support the Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Morale principles, line start-ups and work on minor capital projects that are primarily CI driven. Support the evaluation and implementation of the Ideas and Suggestions process.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership and finance to realize productivity of CI projects. Capture and communicate significant learnings to enable utilization of best practices.
  • Maintain timely and accurate appropriate project plans and documentation.
  • Manage SAP implementation projects (MRP / MPS) with in the facility under the ASAP methodology (Project Preparation, Business Blueprint, Realization, Final Preparation, Go Live & Support)
  • Manage all operations projects, ensure project milestones, assign, and allocate the resources, and agility in decision making.
  • Plan, document, and execute cost savings projects by working with Cross functional teams between US and Mexico operations.
  • Identify opportunities for productivity within the facility and coordinate projects through to completion.
  • Manage work instruction documentation for LALA US and training deliveries for new initiatives implemented
  • Collaborate with plant leadership and finance to realize productivity of projects. Capture and communicate significant learnings to enable utilization of best practices.
  • Facilitate meetings between LALA US and LALA MX teams for project completion.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a minimum of 3 year’s relevant work experience on projects execution. (Installations and business initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with a project’s portfolio of experience.
  • Strong knowledge at technical skills_ (mechanical, electrical and control systems)_
  • Demonstrated creative thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • CAD knowledge to create, design and interpret P&ID drawings.
  • Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
  • 1+ full year in a role participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives or installation projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years operations experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, manipulate, and analyze large sets of data against a proposed theory, project, hypothesis, or target.
  • Mastery of MS Office Suite.
  • Mastery of SAP system and transactions.
  • Bilingual (Spanish - English) is desirable.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Physical Demands: Able to stand and work 12-hour shift; Able to stoop and bend; Able to walk quickly and climb stairs; Able to lift a maximum of 25 lbs. multiple times per day during a 12-hour shift; Able to manipulate tools with both hands. Minimum height requirement of 60 inches.
  • Work Environment: Manufacturing environment is hot and humid in summer months; cold during winter months. Loud noise requiring ear protection.
  • Travel 50% of the time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
