Overview


This is a hybrid-remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, may work 1-2 days a week at an assigned Legacy Health location, and other days may work remotely at home, on the road or in a satellite location for the remainder of their workweek.

All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork.

This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the hybrid schedule.



Responsibilities

Your ability to work with physicians, analyze the market, and monitor growth plans and results will help to fulfill the Legacy mission of making life better for others.

The Strategic Planning Consultant has responsibility for working with Legacy leadership and physician leaders to set and achieve the growth goals for assigned hospitals and service lines. Works with physicians to identify and remove barriers to the use of Legacy hospitals. Works under the direction of the Vice President or Senior Vice President of the designated department to create a growth plan including the development of new services, expansion of existing services, physician recruitment needs and analyses of the market (e.g., demographics, competitors) and technology. Coordinates analysis and implementation with clinical operations, marketing and finance as appropriate. May work with physician leaders on development of the primary care network including the strategic placement of clinic locations and executes plan for placement of the clinics. Responsible for monitoring implementation of plans and results. May perform administrative functions in support of assigned senior leadership as assigned.


Qualifications


Education:

Masters Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Healthcare Administration required. Relevant experience may be substituted for educational requirements.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-4 years experience and a proven track record in business development in a healthcare setting required. Experience developing business plans in physician growth and forecasting volume required. Experience in physician relationship development. Advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets (i.e., Excel) and knowledge of database management (i.e., Access) programs, database query and/or report writers required.

Skills:

Working knowledge of statistical analysis and market research.

Ability to work with all types of individuals and communicate clearly and with confidence.

Ability to effectively summarize and present findings and recommendations.

Innate sense of curiosity with ability to “think outside the box.”

Demonstrated ability to find and analyze information from a wide variety of sources and draw conclusions.
