Straightener Trainee Job at AMETEK Hughes-Treitler
The AMETEK Hughes-Treitler Business Unit, part of the Thermal Systems Management - Aerospace & Defense Division, designs and manufactures state of the art plate-fin heat exchangers, cold plates, condensers, evaporators, and other heat transfer products. We provide custom design and engineering services, to high quality manufacturing standards, for the aircraft, engine and industrial heat exchangers in the mobile/marine/avionics/space and missile markets.
Work Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm
Full Time, Benefits, 401K, and Hourly Rates.
Position Summary:
Responsible for straightening brazed and welded assemblies and detail parts. Requires good eyesight and patience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for straightening brazed and welded assemblies and detail parts as required per written instructions.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read blueprints
- Willing to work in a very loud environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy items such as fixtures and large units
- Dependable, able to work overtime
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to read measuring tools
- Ability to work well with others
Education and Experience:
- High School graduate
- Background working in a manufacturing shop would be preferred
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Must be conversant in and read, write, and understand English.
