Storage Engineer

Billerica MA

12+ months contract
Must be onsite in Billerica office 80% of the time

Candidate Basic Qualifications:

• History migrating Production workloads as a result of a Storage Refresh with minimal risk to the business.
• History migrating Production SAN Connectivity to new, upgraded core switches. This includes migrations from Cisco MDS switches to Brocade SAN Infrastructure.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Deep knowledge in storage architecture including block, file and object storage
• Extensive knowledge in EMC, NetApp and HP storage arrays
• At least 5+ years of industry experience administrating storage protocols including, but not limited to, SATA, SAS, InfiniBand, NFS, SMB, FC and FCoE
• Experience designing, implementing and supporting a geographically dispersed storage infrastructure

Candidate Qualifications:

• Comprehensive understanding of the principles and concepts of storage infrastructure.
• Required: Expert knowledge in Dell EMC storage solutions including: VNX, UNITY, ISILON, and RecoverPoint.
• Nice to have: Expert knowledge in Dell EMC storage solutions including: XIO, ATMOS, ECS and CTA
• Required: Expert knowledge in NetApp storage solutions running Clustered Data On-Tap
• Nice to have: Expert knowledge in NetApp storage solutions running 7-Mode
• Required: Knowledge in storage fabric solutions including both Brocade and Cisco technologies
• Nice to have: Knowledge in HP storage solutions including EVA and 3PAR
• The ability to provide thorough troubleshooting before reaching out to vendor support
• Able to analyze capacity, configuration, performance and availability for all storage infrastructure
• The ability to perform storage refreshes/migrations and work alongside business units to properly mitigate risk.
• Knowledge in configuring and supporting DR using SnapMirror, RecoverPoint and native storage replication tools.
• Ideal candidate would have some experience maintaining storage for OE/OS systems such as Linux, Windows and VMware.
