Reports To: Stock Manager, Store Manager, and Assistant Store Manager

General Purpose of Position: The Stock Associate, with direction from the Stock Manager, will be responsible for the continuous flow, organization, and back stock of merchandise from the point of delivery to the sales floor. Responsibilities include receiving, unpacking, processing, organizing, and storing merchandise. Stock Associate will also handle incoming and outgoing merchandise from store to store. Efficiency, accuracy, cleanliness, and punctuality are expected. He or She must have the ability to make informative decisions, and solve problems in a critical and diligent manner.

Responsibilities/Duties

· Receives, processes, handles, organizes, and stores incoming merchandise and supplies in accordance to Tyler’s procedures and standards.

· Ensures all documentation is accurate, organized, and complete.

· Maintains an organized list of inventory that is absent from Tyler’s inventory management program during time of receiving.

· Maintains stock room appearance and product organization to company standards.

· Assists in the daily opening and closing duties of a retail location.

· Communicates with the Stock Manager in arranging and organizing new and older merchandise in the stock room.

· Responsible for stock room cleanliness, organization, aesthetic appeal, and inventory management.

· Ensures that merchandise is stored, handled, and displayed in accordance with Tyler’s policies, strategies, and procedures.

· Works with management team and Stock Supervisor to keep department back stock organized.

· Coordinates incoming and outgoing transfers.

· Contacts sister stores for customer style checks and special orders.

· Ensures that stock balances and markdowns are accurately completed in a timely manner.

· Works to prevent damage and theft of merchandise.

· Ensures safekeeping of all Tyler’s property.

· Keeps the Stock Supervisor well informed of activities and significant issues.

· Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

· Reports to Stock Manager, Store Manager, and Assistant Store Manager.

Skills

· Ability to adjust priorities, make decisions quickly, and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to maintain proper documentation pertaining to incoming shipment.

· Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, understand material, and follow instructions.

· Ability to lift 50lbs above chest. -Ability to stand for long periods of time.

· Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Requirements

· Available to work a part-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Daytime availability preferred.

· Must have at least 6 months of stock or warehouse experience.

· Be familiar with basic functions of computers and technology.

· Must be detail oriented and highly observant.

· Self-motivator with strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.

· Desirable qualities should include a committed and positive attitude.

Our original store in Tyler is called Racquet and Jog. Our Dallas location is in the heart of University Park/Highland Park on Lovers and very close to the Dallas North Tollway. Our 5th store is located at Southlake Town Square and is approximately 10,200 square feet on the ground floor and 5,500 square feet on the basement level in the former Crate and Barrel space, for a total of 15,700 square feet.

Our newest and largest TYLER’S location opened in October of 2013 across from The Woodlands Mall in the old Sears Auto Center occupying nearly 17,000 sq. ft.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
