Steward /Dishwasher - Clevelander - South Beach
SUMMARY: Provides guests and associates with clean and sanitized utensils, plate-ware, glassware, and equipment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes assigned side-work duties (opening, closing, ongoing)
- Operates and maintains dishwashing equipment
- Maintains cleanliness in assigned station and or stations
- Communicates with Kitchen Manager and service staff to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction
- Ensures dishes and utensils are sanitized and available as needed
- Places clean plate-ware, glassware, silverware, and pot-pans in specified location according to Clevelander sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Ensures cleanliness of dish station and surrounding areas
- Ensures cleanliness of kitchen and surrounding areas
- Empties grease traps into the designated area and removes and disposes of all trash in the kitchen
- Reports shortages of plate-ware, glassware, silverware
- Assists in maintaining appropriate levels of plate-ware, glassware, and silverware in the kitchen
- Maintains and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 18 years old
- High school diploma or 2 years related experience preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to verbally communicate and take direction
- Ability to follow standard recipes
- Strong attention to detail
- High energy level and self-motivated
- Be familiar with all approved chemicals and its usage in machines and hand dispensers
