Job Description

Coordinates Staffing Office:

  • Responsible for maintaining daily shift operations in staffing office
  • Responsible for API Data Entry for entire inpatient areas (Nursing Services)
  • Accountable for accurate record keeping by recording call-ins, schedule changes, sick leave, floating of staff, and low census hours in API system
  • Participate in reviewing/revising staffing processes for effective/efficient operations
  • Responsible for maintain the following staffing documents and reports:
  • Staffing Adjustment, 24-Hour Summary, Pre-Staffing Grids, Have/Needs Report, Employee Clocking Report, Late Schedule Change Report, Late Call in Report
  • Communicate pertinent staffing plans for future shifts with the Supervisors, Clinical Managers, and/or Charge Nurses to verify and facilitate daily staffing
  • Contact off duty or part-time personnel to cover call-ins or vacancies
  • Facilitate phone calls and requests from various departments
  • Responsible for the upkeep of Service Recovery Box
    SCM (Sunrise Clinical Manager):
  • Responsible for entering notification funeral home data into the Electronic Medical Record and notifying the funeral home.
    API Trainer:
    Responsibilities Include:
  • Bi-Weekly Rounding on Units
  • Training and/or assisting with the training of new and current employees
  • Assisting with the implementation training of various departments and/or facilities for scheduling
  • Assisting managers with daily maintenance and/or editing of schedules
  • Help Desk for employees with questions regarding API Scheduling
    Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Three years of medical/hospital or other relevant experience required
  • Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer skills such as Word, Excel, Scheduling Software
  • Knowledge of Staff Roles and Functions
