JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Staffing Coordinator is expected to perform a variety of duties in the coordination of scheduling services or clients. The Staffing Coordinator is responsible or scheduling patients/clients and home health aides in order to provide the highest quality of service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Reflect the values of Purpose Home Health.
  • Answer each incoming all in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Field new patient/client inquiries over the phone in a knowledgeable manner for CICOA
  • Coordinate home health aides’ schedules on a daily basis.
  • Monitor, mediate and log both patient/client and home health aides in system
  • Follow up on home health assignments and patient/client services
  • Coordinate and maintain monthly client schedules in system
  • Enter and maintain accurate records patient/client and home health aides in system
  • Ensure optimal utilization of CICOA, WAIVER, VA and Prior Authorization hours
  • Follow staffing and company policies
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with owner, colleagues and home health aides.
  • Participate in health aides meetings as needed
  • Assist in maintaining a complete Service Schedule
  • Review schedules with weekend staff coordinator each week and serve as support

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • One year related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to meet and deal tactfully with customers/patients and the community
  • Has excellent observation, verbal, listening and written skills
  • Knowledge of business management and government regulations a plus
  • Understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures of Purpose Home Health.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills essential as well as sound judgment and good decision making skills
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly and yearly work
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with management, colleagues, home health aides and patients/clients
  • Ability to sit at desk and listen effectively for long periods of time via telephone
  • Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Must be patient and congenial on the phone
  • Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel
  • Ability to work evenings and weekend if required
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional office setting
  • Knowledge of the senior care industry
